Blue Sky Community Guidelines

The Front Porch — A space for women only.

Whatever brought you here, I’m glad it did.

Maybe you’re navigating a big life change. Maybe you’re ready for something new but aren’t quite sure what that looks like yet. Or maybe you simply know there’s more to you, more to discover, and more life to live.

Wherever you are in your story, there’s room for you here.

The Front Porch is a gathering place for women who are ready to explore what’s next, rediscover parts of themselves, and imagine possibilities they may not have considered before.

We believe your next chapter can be one of your best yet. And we believe figuring it out can be a whole lot better when you don’t have to do it alone.

This is a women-only community, by design. We want to create a space where women can speak openly, feel understood, share their experiences, and explore what’s possible without the pressure to perform or explain themselves.

Come as you are. You don’t need to have it all figured out.

To keep this community welcoming, supportive, and true to its purpose, here’s how we care for this space and one another.

Our Community Guidelines

1. Come as you are.

No polished version of yourself required. You can arrive with big dreams, unanswered questions, a fresh start, or absolutely no idea what comes next.

Share as much or as little as feels right for you. There’s no need to have the answers before you join the conversation.

You don’t have to have it all together to belong here.

2. Respect one another’s privacy.

Women may share personal experiences, struggles, hopes, and dreams here. Treat those stories with care.

Please don’t copy, screenshot, forward, or share another member’s personal posts or information outside the community without her permission.

We ask everyone to honor this commitment, while recognizing that no online community can guarantee complete confidentiality. Share only what feels comfortable for you.

3. Lead with kindness and encouragement.

We’re here to lift one another up, celebrate the wins, and offer encouragement when the road gets a little bumpy.

Be thoughtful with your words. Disagree respectfully when needed, and never use another woman’s vulnerability as an opportunity to criticize, belittle, or make comparisons.

If you wouldn’t say it to a friend over coffee, take a moment before posting it here.

4. Ask before offering advice.

Sometimes we want ideas. Sometimes we simply need someone to listen.

Before jumping in with solutions, ask whether she’d like suggestions or just a little understanding. Share your experiences without assuming you know what’s best for someone else’s life.

We’re here to support one another, not to fix one another.

5. Honor every woman’s journey.

There is no universal timeline for starting over, finding your confidence, changing direction, or discovering what makes you happy.

One woman’s beginning may be another woman’s breakthrough. Someone else’s next chapter may look nothing like yours, and that’s the beauty of it.

No comparisons. No keeping score. No pressure to move faster than you’re ready.

Your journey is yours. Give yourself—and every other woman—the room to live it.

6. Keep the conversation centered on your own journey.

Share your questions, discoveries, experiences, ideas, challenges, and little victories.

You don’t need an extraordinary story to contribute. Sometimes the smallest realization opens the door to something bigger.

We’re here to explore possibilities, encourage growth, and discover what a meaningful next chapter might look like for each of us.

7. This is a community, not a therapy or crisis-support service.

Honest conversations are welcome, and you never need to pretend that life is always sunshine and blue skies.

However, this community isn’t a substitute for professional mental health care, medical advice, or crisis support. If you’re facing something that requires specialized help, please reach out to an appropriate professional or support service.

You deserve the right kind of care, and there’s no shame in asking for it.

8. No selling, soliciting, or recruiting.

We love women with ideas, talents, businesses, and dreams of their own. But The Front Porch isn’t a place for unsolicited promotion.

Please don’t post sales pitches, affiliate links, fundraising requests, recruitment messages, or promotional content without explicit permission from the community administrator.

Unsolicited private messages intended to sell, solicit, or recruit members aren’t welcome either.

Let’s keep the focus on connection, conversation, and supporting one another.

9. This isn’t a dating platform.

The Front Porch is a place for women to connect around shared experiences, personal growth, and the possibilities ahead.

Keep interactions friendly, respectful, and community-focused. Romantic solicitation and unwanted personal advances aren’t appropriate here.

10. Leave politics and divisive debates at the door.

This community is here to encourage, inspire, and help women explore their next chapters.

Political campaigning, partisan debates, inflammatory content, and arguments that pull us away from that purpose don’t belong here. The same goes for unrelated spam, disruptive links, and content that doesn’t serve the community.

We can have different perspectives and still treat one another with respect.

11. Help us keep this a respectful space.

Harassment, bullying, discriminatory or degrading behavior, personal attacks, and repeated disregard for another member’s boundaries will not be tolerated.

You don’t have to agree with everyone, but you do have to treat everyone with respect.

The community administrator may remove inappropriate posts or comments and, when necessary, suspend or remove members who violate these guidelines. Serious violations may result in immediate removal.

We reserve the right to take action to protect the well-being of the community.

A Few Things to Remember

  • Kindness over cleverness. A little grace goes a long way.
  • Encouragement over comparison. Another woman’s success doesn’t diminish your own possibilities.
  • Curiosity over judgment. We all arrive with different experiences and perspectives.
  • Listening over fixing. Sometimes being heard is the greatest gift.
  • Possibility over perfection. You don’t need a complete plan to take your next step.

And one more thing: you don’t have to be fearless to begin. You just have to be willing to consider what might be possible.

This Is Your Invitation

The Front Porch exists because we believe no woman should have to figure out her next chapter alone.

Maybe you’ll discover a new interest. Maybe you’ll find the courage to try something you’ve been putting off. Maybe you’ll meet a woman whose story helps you see your own differently.

Or maybe you’ll simply find a place where you can pause, take a breath, and ask yourself a question worth exploring:

What’s my Blue Sky now?

Whatever brought you here, I’m glad it did.

Pull up a chair. There’s room for you.

With love,

Cathie Weber
